Review of Linux Compatibility

The Hauppauge WinTV HVR-5500 HD is a PCI-Express card with the possibility to receive DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-C, and DVB-T signals. Unfortunately all the demodulator chipsets of the card are currently not supported by the Linux kernel. Therefore, this card can not be used.

The card is identified by the kernel in the following way:
