The Logitech MX AIR is a gyroscopic wireless mouse, that can be used on a standard mouse pad (or desk) but also without any underlayment in free space (similar to a laser pointer).
The mouse is supported by Linux at least since Ubuntu 8.10. It is fully supported and automatically recognized.
