The 10/100 Mbit PCI Ethernet card D-Link DFE-528TX has the PCI ID 1186:1300 and is recognized by the Linux kernel in the following way:
01:06.0 Ethernet controller: D-Link System Inc RTL8139 Ethernet (rev 10)
The PCI card is shipped together with a CD which includes Linux drivers. Instead of installing these drivers the card should be used with the kernel module 8139too (since kernel 2.4), which are loaded automatically by most distributions (e.g. Ubuntu).
The network card uses the chipset RealTek RTL-8139 which is fully supported by the 8139TOO kernel module.
