Review of Linux Compatibility

The external USB DVD writer does not need an additional power supply. Instead, the power from two USB sockets will be used for operation of the device. Unfortunatley the two plugs of the included cable have a very small distance and can not be connected together, if the USB plugs at the PC are not located next to each other.

The writer is revognized automatically by the kernel and can be used out-of-the-box after plugging it in:
