Review of Linux Compatibility

The Elgato Video Capture V2 is recognized under Linux. The dmesg output sais

cx231xx 1-3.4:1.1: New device Elgato Video Capture @ 480 Mbps (0fd9:0037) with 6 interfaces
cx231xx 1-3.4:1.1: Identified as Elgato Video Capture V2 (card=16)

The video device /dev/video* is created but video capture functionality is very limited: the video is in black and white, at least with s-video (pure input, no scart adaptor).

Video input with composite was not tested.
