Review of Linux Compatibility

The Digitus DS-30020-1 (VPR 2.0) is a PCI-Express card providing a DB25 parallel port on basis of the OXPCle952 chipset. The card supports a transmission rate of up to 2.5 Mbps and supports the transmission according to Standard Parallel Port (SPP), Enhanced Parallel (EPP) and Enhanced Capability Port (ECP) standards. The card is compatible to the PCI Express Base Specification 1.1 and ist compatible with the PCI Power Management 1.2. The same card is also distributed under the name “Assmann DS-30020-1″.

The card can be identified under Linux in the following way:

01:00.0 Parallel controller: Oxford Semiconductor Ltd Device c110 (prog-if 02)
Subsystem: Oxford Semiconductor Ltd Device c110
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
	I/O ports at ec00 [size=8]
	I/O ports at e880 [size=4]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
	Kernel driver in use: parport_pc
	Kernel modules: parport_pc

The kernel automatically loads the kernel modul parport_pc if the card is found. Until now there is no information if the parallel port of this card can be accessed under Linux. Therefore, please post your Linux experiences with this card in the comment section of this page.
