Review of Linux Compatibility

The Logitech Keyboard K750 is equipped with two small solar panels, which automatically charge the batteries of the wireless keyboard. The keyboard is fully supported by Linux (e.g. since Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). The communication between keyboard and Linux system is performed by the included Logitech Unified Receiver, which is recognized automatically, if plugged into the USB port.

The read out additional information from the keyboard (e.g. to get the status of the batteries) the program Solaar can be used. This program is not part of the Ubuntu distribution, but can be added as an additional repository to the package management system:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniel.pavel/solaar
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install solaar

Alternatively, the source code of the program can be downloaded from its Git repository: https://github.com/pwr/Solaar.

Furthermore, the program ltunify allows to manage devices that are connected (to the same) Logitech Unified Receiver.
