Review of Linux Compatibility
The Apple Magic Mouse is supported by Linux since kernel version 2.6.34 (e.g. since Ubuntu 10.04). The mouse communicates with the PC via Bluetooth, i.e. Bluetooth services have to be activated in Linux.
The mouse uses the kernel module hid_magicmouse. This module is automatically loaded during start up of the Linux system:
hid_magicmouse 1234 0
hid 56789 3 hid_magicmouse,hidp,usbhid
The Pin ’0000′ has to be entered to pair the Linux systems with the Magic Mouse.
