The TP-Link WiFi PCI card TL-WN551G bases on the Atheros chipset and has a detachable Antenne with SMA plug. The card has the PCI ID 168c:001a.
The TL-WN551G is fully supported by Linux since Ubuntu 8.10 and is recognized in the following way by the kernel:

The Linux kernel supports the card vie the kernel module of the Madwifi-Modul version 0.9.3, but can also be used via the ath5k module, which is provided together with most of the latest distributions.
