Review of Linux Compatibility
Several versions of AVM Fritz!WLAN sticks exist so please be careful to not mix them up. This version of the AVM Fritz!WLAN is a USB 2.0 stick with USB ID 057c:6201

It supports WiFi connections according to 802.11g++ standard.
Although the stick is automatically recognized:

There are no drivers included in the Linux kernel for this WiFi stick due to GPL violations. The last driver version provided by AVM does not be compile under recent kernel versions any longer. The only solution if you are stuck with this stick under Linux is to use Ndiswrapper. A detailed configuration description can be found (in German) at Ubuntuusers.de.
