Review of Linux Compatibility

The Razer DeathAdder is a gaming mouse with 6400dpi 4G optical sensor. The mouse has the USB ID 1532:0016

Bus 001 Device 007: ID 1532:0016 Razer USA, Ltd DeathAdder Mouse

and is automatically recognized and fully supported under Linux:

usb 1-6: new full-speed USB device number 3 using xhci_hcd
usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=1532, idProduct=0016
usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 1-6: Product: Razer DeathAdder
usb 1-6: Manufacturer: Razer

Under some distributions the speed of the mouse courser is too high, even if the speed setting of the desktop are already at its minimum. In this case the speed of the cursor can be reduced additionally be the following command:

xinput --set-prop "Razer Razer DeathAdder" "Device Accel Constant Deceleration" 3

In order to execute this command automatically whenever the desktop starts, this command should be added to a bash script

#/bin/sh
xinput --set-prop "Razer Razer DeathAdder" "Device Accel Constant Deceleration" 3

which then should be started by the autostart mechanism of the desktop.
