Review of Linux Compatibility
The Fujitsu Lifebook UH572 is supported under Linux for major parts. However, there are problems with the control of the integrated touchpads, which is not recognized by the X server.
To solve this issue, GRUB needs to be extended by an additional option which is used by the Linux kernel while booting the system. In the file /etc/default/grub the line
needs to be extended by the options
in the part with quotation marks.:

After saving the new configuration file the updated configuration is activated by

To also support 3-finger-gestures a configuration with, e.g., kde-config-touchpad is necessary. This program can be installed by
sudo apt-get install kde-config-touchpad
Afterwards, 3-fingure-gestures can be configured with the program
