Review of Linux Compatibility
The LiteOn iHBS112 is an internal Blu-ray Wrtier, which is connected via SATA. The drive is automatically recognized under Linux and fully supported under latest Kernel versions:

There is a bug in older kernel versions which freezes the Linux kernel and shows the following error message in the Kernel Logfiles:
