Logitech M187 (USB Mini Mouse)
Review of Linux Compatibility
The Logitech M187 is a small USB mouse, which communicates with the PC wirelessly via the Logitech Unifying Receiver. The plugged receiver is identified in the following way:

In order to use more than one wireless Logitech device or to read out the Battery status of the M187 it is recommended to use the program Solaar. This program is currently not part of the Ubuntu distribution, but can be installed by adding the following repository to the package management system:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniel.pavel/solaar sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install solaar
Alternatively, one can compile the program out of its source code which can be found in a Git repository: https://github.com/pwr/Solaar.
