Fingerprint Scanner

The T410s is equipped with an Upek fingerprint scanner, which has the USB ID 147e:2016. The scanner is recognized by the kernel, however, it was not tested if it works together wit PAM software:

The scanner is not a “SGS Thomson Microelectronics Fingerprint Reader” which is normally used in ThinkPads. Therefore, it is unknown if this scanner is compatible with ThinkFinger software.

UMTS | GSM | GPRS | EDGE Modem

The integrated Qualcom Gobi 2000 Modem supports UMTS, GSM, GPRS, EDGE and is recognized by the Linux kernel:

Special Keys

Most of the function keys of the T410s are supported. It is possible to control the WiFi, display brightness and power manager with these keys. However, the lock key did not work.
The “Thinkvantage” special button is recognized by the kernel and implemented as /dev/input/event6 pseudo file, however, no action is associated to this key by default.

Graphic card

The integrated grafic card bases on the Intel HD chipset and is automatically supported by the Linux kernel:
