Review of Linux Compatibility

The Trust Bluetooth 3.0 (USB ID: 0cf3:3005) is a tiny Bluetooth USB adapter with Atheros chipset. The device is fully and automatically supported by the latest Linux kernels (tested from kernel version 3.11) without the need of additional configuration. The adapter uses the kernel module ohci-pci, additionally an up-to-date version of BlueZ needs to be installed.

Identification under Linux:

Bus 005 Device 006: ID 0cf3:3005 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth

Firmware:

The adapter needs the firmware file AR3011, which is part of the firmware package ath3k. This package is pre-installed in most distributions or can be installed via the firmware package available of the used distribution.
