Review of Linux Compatibility

The USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter “SuperSpeed” from Cable Matters bases on the ASIX Chipsatz AX88179. The adapter has the USB ID 0b95:1790

0b95:1790 ASIX AX88179 10/100/1000

and therefore has the same ID as the Digitus DN-3023. The adapter can be accessed by the Linux kernel module ax88179, or by the Linux driver provided by Asix. The installation of the Asix driver is identical to the description provided for the Digitus DN-3023.
