Review of Linux Compatibility

The BIG687 from BIGtec is a mini WiFi USB adapter, which bases on the Ralink RT5370 chipset. It has the USB ID 148f:5370:

ID 148f:5370 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT5370

The stick is automatically recognized by Linux and fully supported (e.g. Debian Wheezy, Ubuntu 12.10, Ubuntu 13.10).

Alternatively, on can use the original drivers provided by Ralinktech. These drivers can be downloaded in version for the RT5370 chipset and have to be compiled. A kernel module rt5370sta.ko will be created which also supports the BIG687.
