Review of Linux Compatibility
The Belkin F7D2102 N300 is a micro USB adapter for wireless connections according to IEEE 802.11n standard. The stick has the USB ID 050d:2103 and bases on the Realtek RTL8192CU chipset:

The F7D2102 is supported under Linux by the kernel module rtl8192cu, which is part of the Linux kernel since version 2.6.39 and 3.0. Additionally, the Realtek firmware file has to be present on the Linux system.
The driver can be installed in Debian-based distrubutions by the package “kmod-compat-wireless”. The firmware firmware file by the package “firmware-realtek”.
An additional driver for the WiFi adapter is provided by Realtek. This driver can be downloaded from the Realtek homepage. To compile the downloaded driver the following system tools have to be present:
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential
Afterwards, the driver can be compiled by:
sudo su chmod +x install.sh ./install.sh modprobe -r rtl8192cu modprobe 8192cu exit
