Logitech K360 (Keyboard, Wireless)
Review of Linux Compatibility
The Logitech K360 keyboard is fully supported by Linux (z.B. since Ubuntu 10.04 LTS). The communication between keyboard and Linux system is established by the Logitech Unified Receiver which is shipped together with the K360. This receiver is recognized automatically if plugged in:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 046d:c52b Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver
and gets initialized by the kernel:
input: Logitech USB Receiver as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2/2-1.2:1.0/input/input2 generic-usb 0003:046D:C52B.0001: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [Logitech USB Receiver] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1.2/input0 input: Logitech USB Receiver as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2/2-1.2:1.1/input/input3
To get additional status information from the keyboard (ze.g. the loading of the batteries) one can use the program Solaar. This program is not part of the Ubuntu distribution, and has to be added to the Package Management System by hand:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:daniel.pavel/solaar sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install solaar
Alternatively, one can download the source code of the program from its Git repository: https://github.com/pwr/Solaar.
Furthermore, the program ltunify exists, which allows to use several Logitech devices in parallel with on Unifying Receiver. Without it, it can happen that Logitech devices will not get initialized if used in parallel:
