Review of Linux Compatibility

The 4G Systems XS-Stick W100 supports LTE connections with up to 100Mbyte/s download and 50Mbyte/s upload. Furthermore, connection via HSPA, UMTS, EDGE, GPRS, HSDPA, and HSUPA are possible. The stick also has a microSD-Slot that can read microSD cards with up to 32Mbyte and also supports IPv6.

The 4G Systems XS-Stick W100 Surfstick is identical to the Telekom Speedstick LTE II and the Alcatel One Touch L100V LTE. All off the have the identical USB ID and hardware. If the stick is in USB storage mode the stick shows up with the USB ID 1bbb:f000

Bus 001 Device 023: ID 1bbb:f000 T & A Mobile Phones

and has to be switched to LTE surfstick mode with the usb-modeswitch tool, then showing an USB ID of 1bbb:011e:

If usb-modeswitch is configured correctly this switch is carried out automatically:
