Review of Linux Compatibility

Linux fully supports the Samsung CLP-365 thanks to the “Samsung Unified Linux Driver”, which can be downloaded in version 0.87 at the Samsung homepage.

The programs CUPS, SANE, and GhostScript are prerequisite for the installation of the “Samsung Unified Linux Driver”.

The installation of the driver in Ubuntu ist described at http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Samsung-Laserdrucker?highlight=samsung#Samsung-Unified-Linux-Driver (in German), but the driver also supports other Linux distributions like RedHat Enterprise Linux WS 4, 5 (32/64 Bit), Fedora 5–13 (32/64 Bit), SuSE Linux 10.1 (32 Bit), OpenSuSE 10.2–11.2 (32/64 Bit), Mandriva 2007–2010 (32/64 Bit), Ubuntu 6.06–10.04 (32/64 Bit), SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, 11 (32/64 Bit) und Debian 4.0, 5.0 (32/64 Bit).
